Yajirobe owns his cowardice and pulls out of every fight he can avoid. That is exactly what makes his intervention in the Saiyan saga memorable: he sneaks up and cuts off Vegeta’s tail, settling in one move a problem nobody else could solve.
He is also the unofficial supplier of senzu beans, which makes him a more important logistical link than his combat ranking suggests.
