Synopsis
A wish made behind the heroes’ backs turns the Z Fighters young again, and the series immediately embraces what that device allows: giving characters who had become untouchable a fragile body and a world to cross on foot.
Daima sends its protagonists into the Demon Realm, a territory only mentioned from a distance until now, with its hierarchies, its factions and its own rules about the balls. Akira Toriyama worked on the script and the designs, which makes this series his last hands-on Dragon Ball project.
The short format, the reduced scale and the taste for travel put Daima closer to the first Dragon Ball than to the Z era. It is a late-career series that chooses to go back to the beginning.
