Synopsis
Super Dragon Ball Heroes is an arcade card game first. The animated series alongside it exists to show in motion what the game puts on its cards: variants, improbable fusions, alternate versions of familiar characters.
So the story embraces time prisons, spare universes and match-ups the main continuity could never afford. It is a playground, not a sequel.
