Each universe has an angel who accompanies its God of Destruction, trains him, wakes him and reminds him of his duties. They are stronger than their master but barred from direct intervention, on pain of sanction by their own hierarchy.

Their combat discipline rests on separating decision from movement, a principle later taken up under the name Ultra Instinct.

The office complements that of the Supreme Kais: one brings into being, the other erases. The two lives are linked, which makes every God of Destruction structurally untouchable — killing one would also remove their universe’s creator.

These archives render this register in Saiyan Gold on ink, by explicit design choice: the purple gradient reflex is set aside.

The Kais manage galactic quadrants and act as intermediaries between mortals and the rest of the hierarchy. Above them, the Supreme Kais hold responsibility for creation, mirroring the Gods of Destruction.

The story mostly uses them as information relays: they are the ones who explain to the viewer what the characters do not yet know.

Majins are not a matter of biology but of magic: their bodies reform, split, absorb opponents and keep their abilities. That plasticity makes them nearly impossible to remove by force.

Their existence introduces a threat that does not obey the usual power scale but rules of its own.

Namekians reproduce without a partner, live on water, regenerate lost body parts and can assimilate another of their kind while keeping their own identity. One particular line, called the dragon clan, produces the wish devices.

That capacity makes their planet a permanent target, and their diaspora a cosmological stake rather than a mere biographical detail.

Saiyans are identified by their tail, essential to the Great Ape transformation under a full moon, and by a recovery capacity that turns every defeat into a net gain. Their society was organised around a contract: clearing planets for an outside employer.

That biological quirk explains the narrative structure of the whole franchise: a character who survives a massacre comes out stronger, so the story can keep climbing indefinitely.

Dragon Ball’s humans have no tail, no regeneration and no exceptional energy reserve. They build capsules, radars, ships and time machines, and still produce fighters capable of inventing techniques the superior races do not have.

The series keeps them in the story precisely because they set the human scale of the stakes.
